Meet Edgar

I was born in Castañer, Puerto Rico, one of the most remote locations on the island. I grew up in the mountain town of Adjuntas, a humble coffee growing town. I used to pick up coffee beans with my grandparents at five in the morning in their coffee plantation. I learned to love coffee, nature, my favorite sport (volleyball), and also the value of hard work.

I studied my Business Administration Degree in Accounting in the University of Puerto Rico- Ponce Campus. One month before my graduation I was already working in the largest public accounting firm in the southern region of Puerto Rico. I spent the first five years of my professional career near my family. I love to learn and I love to teach. Both my parents were teachers I think it’s also in my DNA. My next challenge was the CPA exam. It took a lot of effort but I passed it!

Later on I was recruited by a “big four” firm in San Juan. I learned a lot there. It was hard, but it was a great experience. I made it to manager.

After this experience, I worked at a international insurance company and traveled to various countries. It was a great experience to work with people in diverse countries around the globe. Not bad for a country boy from Adjuntas. I was a timid kid growing up and ended up teaching technical accounting subjects across the world. I was afraid of airplanes. I still am.

I decided to take a break and looked into starting my own firm. With twenty years of experience working in business consulting, finance, and attestation engagements I wanted to create my own boutique accounting firm to directly cater to my clients needs. We’re honored to have the opportunity to not only help you grow, but to help you grow well.
