Financial services has been one of the main industries served by our managing member. While working for a big four international firm and in a national firm, our managing member was an audit manager in charge of various audit engagements in the industry. The overall experience include audit of regulated banking institutions, IFE, IBE, mutual funds, FDCIA, HUD compliance, credit unions, loan correspondents, mortgage banking, and governmental banking institutions. As a consultant he has worked as outsourced resource for several banks in the areas of loan file reviews for regulators, internal credit reviews for credit approvals, internal compliance audits (REG E, CFPB, FLOOD, HUD, AML, REG Z, etc.)

Our managing member worked three years in one of the largest publicly traded international insurance companies in the world. His role was in the financial reporting division for the Latin America Region. The experience included the consolidation of the Latin America holding company and its subsidiaries in US GAAP. This was the first exposure to IFRS to US GAAP conversions. The experience included traveling to several countries and perform US GAAP trainings to the local subsidiaries in the technical areas of insurance accounting. As a consultant we have prepared the STAT Yellow Book annual and quarterly reports for various international insurance companies and filing with the NAIC regulator. We have also audited international captive reinsurance entities.

As a consultant we have served the largest payments technological company in Puerto Rico. The work included the assistance in various financial closing and reporting processes including supporting the reporting department in the preparation of the 10Q and 10K financial reports for the SEC. We have also assisted in the implementation of new accounting standards including ASC 606 Revenue Recognition, ASC 842 Leases, and ASC 329 Credit Losses and their IFRS counterparts. We have assisted in the impairment analysis of various investments and intangibles. We have expertise in the NACHA compliance audits regarding electronic transfers (ACH).

While working in the international firms our managing member worked as an audit manager in two of the largest wholesale distributors in Puerto Rico for about three years. As a consultant Avant serves one of the top three distributors in the island. The scope of the consulting engagement includes assisting the client in the implementation of an ERP system. We work directly with the supply chain data and the integration to the new system.

We have participated in various audits of private universities and colleges in Puerto Rico. The experience include the financial statement audit, yellow book audit according to GAGAS, single audit for federal funds, and other program specific audits such as Pell grants and consejo de educacion superior compliance audit.

Broad experience in manufacturing entities including SOX audits for an international manufacturer. Our managing member is a CGMA and also a member of IMA which is the professional association that relates to management accounting and issues the certifications related to supply chain and cost accounting.

Has provided accounting and bookkeeping services for several homeowner associations including single family homes communities and also condominiums and walkup apartment complexes. Also have prepared financial statements, budgets and performed attestation and audit engagements in this specialized industry.

Has audited several employee benefit plans for small, medium, and large entities. Experience in both defined benefit plans and defined contribution plans. Also has performed limited scope and full scope audits.

Performed audits of different types of non for profit entities including universities, health care, labor unions, private foundations, community based non for profit institutions, homeowner associations, and governmental entities.

Through more than 20 years in the public our managing member has served clients in a wide range of industries such as landfills, law firms, labor unions, hospitals, retail, hotels, casinos, shopping centers, among other.
